My Sister Taylor was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes when she was only 2 years old. For years she had to take 2 needles a day, as well as checking her blood three to six times a day. 2 Years ago Taylor recieved an insuline pump because of a fundraiser. The Wasaga Beach Lions Club of Wasaga Beach is connected to many charities in the Wasaga Beach community. They organized both the Helicopter Golf Ball Drop which raised money for the Canadian Diabetes Association, and were major players in the planting of 250 pink tulips which was to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Association.
